David Fenton – CEO & Partner
David A. Fenton is an experienced provider of tax planning, compliance and business consulting services. His focus is on the unique needs of clients in the real estate , health care, and entertainment industries.
In 2003 , David Fenton founded the CPA firm: Fenton & Ross . Previously, David worked with Good Swartz Brown & Berns as a senior manager in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Prior to joining that firm, Mr. Fenton spent several years as a manager at Ernst & Young, meeting the tax needs of business clients. Over the years, David has advised hundreds of businesses on various tax and operational issues and has prepared thousands of tax returns for businesses and their owners.
David earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from UCLA in 1991 . As a certified public accountant, Mr. Fenton is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
David is married to wife Jodi and has two young children . Outside of his family life, David is active in the community and currently serves on the board of directors for the Jewish Big Brothers of Los Angeles . He is also the Treasurer for the nonprofit group – Parents Education League of Los Angeles.
David Tseng – Senior Manager
David Tseng is a Certified Public Accountant with over 15 years of experience in taxation. David has assisted individuals, as well as small and large businesses with tax and accounting related matters. Prior to joining Fenton & Ross in early 2015, he worked with a national public accounting firm in Los Angeles. David is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics, with concentration in Accounting. David and his family live in Torrance, CA where they are active in their kids’ school and scouting .
Edmund Yen – Senior Manager
As a Certified Public Accountant. Edmund Yen specializes in financial accounting. tax planning and preparation services for corporations, partnerships. individuals and trusts. With over sixteen years of experience, Edmund has leveraged a diverse skill set on behalf of clients in various industries. The majority of his focus has been to guide individuals and businesses through the landscape of tax services and financial reporting.
Prior to joining Fenton and Ross, Edmund worked with the firm Good Swartz Brown and Berns in the attestation and tax department for almost four years before starting his own tax practice. Edmund has been part of the Fenton & Ross team since 2003 and became a partner in 2012.
Edmund holds a Bachelors degree in Business Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara and is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Michael Sturtevant – Senior Manager
Michael Sturtevant has 30 years of experience in public accounting . A special ist in corporate taxation and tax research , he also provides tax plann ing services to his clients . Prior to joining the firm in 2010 , Michael spent seven years as a tax manager at Ernst & Young , and ten years as principal at Good Swartz Brown and Berns, specializing in corporate and partnership taxation a variety of industries.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Economics from California Polytechn ic University, Pomona .
Yoni Solomon – Senior Accountant
Yoni has 7 years of accounting experience and more than five years of taxation experience. He joined the Fenton & Ross tax team in 2014 and has been working to assist small-to-medium business and individuals with their tax and accounting needs. Yoni has experience in business and individual taxation, tax planning and accounting services. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from California State University, Northridge and a MBA with a concentration in Finance from Pepperdine University.
Chris Ramos – Senior Accountant
Chris Ramos provides tax preparation, bookkeeping and payroll services to business and individual clients, and has been with Fenton & Ross since 2011. Chris earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Jason Wong – Staff Accountant
Jason Wong joined Fenton & Ross in June 2014, previously working in banking and the entertainment industry. He provides tax preparation and bookkeeping functions for our clients.
Jason graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in political science and National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan, with a master’s degree in Asia-Pacific Studies. He also spent two years serving in the U.S. Peace Corps in Malawi.
Jessica Javaheri – Director of Operations
Jessica Javaheri joined Fenton & Ross in 2012. She maintains our office services by organizing office operations and procedures and is responsible for all project management for our clientele. Jessica graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with her bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Chelsea Russo – Client Communications Manager
Chelsea joined Fenton & Ross in early 2013. While working at the firm, she earned her Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration & Management at California State University Northridge in the Spring of 2016. She is now in charge of client communications.
Carlee Renteria – CEO Executive Assistant
Carlee Renteria has been working at Fenton & Ross since 2014 as David Fenton’s assistant. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies at California State University, Long Beach in the Spring of 2017.
Florence Lee Waldrep – Staff Accountant
Florence Lee Waldrep joined the Fenton & Ross team in July 2017 as a bookkeeper. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Irvine in International Studies and is currently finishing her education requirements for the CPA exam.
Allison Stevens – Staff Accountant
Allison Stevens joined Fenton & Ross in January 2018. She graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical (A&T) State University where she received her Bachelor’s in Accounting and Master’s in Business Administration concentration Accounting. She is currently pursuing her CPA license.
Bryan Lyles – Bookkeeper
Bryan joined Fenton & Ross in 2019. He enjoys helping businesses with their accounting and bookkeeping needs. He has been a bookkeeper for over three years with a CPA firm and is Quickbooks Online Certified. He went to California Institute of the Arts where he studied theater and film.
Victoria Garza – Staff Bookkeeper
Victoria has been working as a bookkeeper with Fenton & Ross since January 2020. She has six years of experience working in administration, management, and commercial real estate. Victoria enjoys helping businesses with their accounting and bookkeeping needs. She also enjoys spending time with her family and running on her free time.
Jennifer Castillo – Administrative Assistant
Jennifer Castillo has been working at Fenton & Ross since December of 2019 as an administrative assistant. She lives in Los Angeles and has previously studied at Los Angeles Community College and Santa Monica College. Jennifer is looking forward to continuing her studies with hopes of earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology.
